The Putnam County Economic Development Corporation’s (PCEDC) focus is to encourage commercial and industrial development in Putnam County.  One of PCEDC’s goals is to assist with preparing shovel ready sites.  As a first step towards accomplishing this goal, PCEDC commissioned an inventory of vacant commercial and industrial properties for each municipality in Putnam County.

The following criteria were used to identify sites with development potential:

1.   Parcel size greater than 3 acres, and

2.   Parcel zoning is commercial or industrial, and

3.   Parcel is vacant, and

At least half of the parcel area is unencumbered by natural resource constraints (steep slopes, wet soils, and wetlands).
